May 17 marks the beginning of a several-day solidarity visit by a group of Polish bishops to Ukraine. It includes the President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference – Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, the Primate of Poland – Archbishop Wojciech Polak, and the Metropolitan Archbishop of Lublin – Archbishop Stanisław Budzik. The purpose of the visit is to express the spiritual unity of the Church in Poland with all those who suffer as a result of the ongoing war in the country.

Due to the specificity of the visit and the current situation in Ukraine, the Press Office of the Polish Bishops’ Conference will not provide current information on its progress. However, after the visit, a special press conference will be held, with the participation of the President of the Episcopate and the Primate of Poland. It has been preliminarily scheduled for Saturday, May 21, at 4 p.m. in Poznań. Information about accreditation will be given on Thursday.
