Spokesman of the Polish Episcopate: Easter Triduum and Easter also in social media

The time of the Easter Triduum and Easter is a good opportunity to share the experiences of these important days for Christians, through the broadcasting from the liturgy in social media, and thus give a testimony of faith – emphasized the spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Fr. Pawel Rytel-Andrianik.

In the days to come, entries on Twitter and Facebook can be posted with hashtags: #TriduumPaschalne (#Easter Triduum) and #Wielkanoc (#Easter).

“By publishing entries, photos and videos, for example, from special liturgies, that take place during the Easter Triduum and Easter, we can share with others our faith in the resurrection of Jesus, the most important message of Christianity, from which come our optimism, joy and hope” – said Fr. Rytel-Andrianik.

He added that through publications in social media we also create a kind of community of Internet users. “In this way, we enable in some way to participate in the events of the Easter Triduum for those who, for various reasons, cannot go to church personally, we can connect spiritually and ask for prayer” – emphasized the spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference.

As Fr. Rytel-Andrianik said, the Catholic Church in Poland, does not ignore the modern tool of evangelization – social media. “They give a chance to reach in real time with the message from the Gospel to millions of people around the world. Encouraged by the words of Pope Francis, we want to build a positive message, it does not mean that it is to be smoothed and unreal from reality, but it must bring peace and hope. This is also the basic sense of Easter” – he pointed out.
