A longtime President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Primate of the Millennium, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński is to be beatified. On October 3, Pope Francis approved a decree on the beatification of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński.

Pope Francis approved the decrees of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. One of them officially recognizes the miracle through the intercession of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, Primate of Poland. In this way, the last requirement for beatification was fulfilled.

As reported by the Press Office of the Holy See, Pope received yesterday in audience the Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, Cardinal Angelo Becciu and authorized this dicastery to publish eight decrees. One of them concerns a miracle through the intercession of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński.

The miracle concerns a 19-old woman who got sick in 1988 with an incurable thyroid cancer. She was completely healed through the intercession of ven. Cardinal Wyszyński in 1989 and she had no tumor remission within the next 30 years.

It is expected a message from the Holy See soon, which will give the date of the beatification and its place. The beatification process began in 1989 and ended in 2019. The general postulator of the process was Fr. Zbigniew Suchecki, OFM Conv. and a relator in the Congregation for the Causes of Saints Fr. Zdzisław Kijas OFM Conv.

The President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Archbishop Gądecki commented: “Great joy for the Church in Poland! We are grateful to Pope for approving the miracle through the intercession of Card. Stefan Wyszyński. We are glad that the beatification of the Primate of the Millennium will be soon”.

 Il Presidente per lungo tempo della Conferenza episcopale polacca, Primate del Millennio, il Cardinale Stefan Wyszyński sarà beatificato. Il 3 ottobre Papa Francesco ha approvato il decreto sulla beatificazione del Cardinale Stefan Wyszyński.

Papa Francesco ha approvato i decreti della Congregazione delle Cause dei Santi. Uno di essi riconosce ufficialmente il miracolo per intercessione del Cardinale Stefan Wyszyński, Primate della Polonia. In questo modo, l’ultima esigenza per la beatificazione è stata soddisfatta.

Come riportato dall’Ufficio Stampa della Santa Sede, il Papa ha ricevuto ieri in udienza il Prefetto della Congregazione delle Cause dei Santi, il Cardinale Angelo Becciu, e ha autorizzato questo dicastero a pubblicare otto decreti. Uno di questi riguarda un miracolo per intercessione del Cardinale Stefan Wyszyński.

Il miracolo riguarda una donna di 19 anni ammalata nel 1988 di un incurabile tumore alla tiroide. È stata completamente guarita per intercessione del servo di Dio Cardinale Wyszyński nel 1989 e non ebbe ricomparsa del cancro entro i successivi 30 anni.

Si prevede presto un messaggio dalla Santa Sede che darà la data e il posto della beatificazione. Il processo di beatificazione iniziò nel 1989 e si è concluso nel 2019. Il postulatore generale del processo è stato p. Zbigniew Suchecki, OFM Conv. e un relatore nella Congregazione delle Cause dei Santi p. Zdzisław Kijas OFM Conv.

Il presidente della Conferenza Episcopale Polacca, l’arcivescovo Stanisław Gądecki, ha commentato: “Grande gioia per la Chiesa in Polonia! Siamo grati a Papa per aver approvato il miracolo attraverso intercessione del Card. Stefan Wyszyński. Siamo lieti che la beatificazione del Primate del Millennio sarà presto”.

Der langjährige Präsident der Polnischen Bischofskonferenz, Primas des Millenniums, Kardinal Stefan Wyszyński, kann selig gesprochen werden. Am 3. Oktober genehmigte Papst Franziskus ein Dekret zur Seligsprechung von Kardinal Stefan Wyszyński.

Papst Franziskus genehmigte die Dekrete der Kongregation für die Selig- und Heiligsprechungsprozesse. Eins davon erkennt das Wunder auf die Fürsprache von Kardinal Wyszyński, Primas von Polen, offiziell an. Auf diese Weise wurde das letzte Erfordernis der Seligsprechung erfüllt.

Wie die Pressebüro des Heiligen Stuhls mitteilte, empfing der Papst gestern den Präfekten der Kongregation für die Selig- und Heiligsprechungsprozesse, Kardinal Angelo Becciu, und ermächtigte dieses Dikasterium, acht Dekrete zu veröffentlichen. Eins davon betrifft ein Wunder auf die Fürsprache von Kardinal Stefan Wyszyński.

Das Wunder betrifft eine 19-jährige Frau, die 1988 an einem unheilbaren Schilddrüsenkrebs erkrankte. Sie wurde auf die Fürsprache von Kardinal Wyszyński im Jahr 1989 vollständig geheilt und sie hatte keine Tumorremission innerhalb der nächsten 30 Jahre.

Es wird in Kürze eine Mitteilung des Heiligen Stuhls erwartet, in der das Datum und der Ort der Seligsprechung angegeben werden. Der Seligsprechungsprozess begann 1989 und endete 2019. Der Postulator des Prozesses war P. Zbigniew Suchecki OFM Conv. und der Relator in der Kongregation für die Selig- und Heiligsprechungsprozesse P. Zdzisław Kijas OFM Conv.

Der Präsident der Polnischen Bischofskonferenz, Erzbischof Stanisław Gądecki, erklärte: „Große Freude für die Kirche in Polen! Wir danken Papst, dass er das Wunder auf die Fürsprache von Kardinal Stefan Wyszyński anerkannt hat. Wir sind froh, dass die Seligsprechung des Primas des Millenniums bald sein wird”.
