The Press Office of the Polish Episcopate has launched a Twitter profile in English


@ChurchInPoland is a new source of information about the Church in Poland. Entries will be published in English by the Press Office of the Polish Bishops’ Conference.

“We are observing the great interest of foreign Internet users and the media for the Church in Poland. Therefore, we want to present the life of our Church in English,” emphasizes the spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Fr. Pawel Rytel-Andrianik.

The Press Office of the Polish Episcopate also wants to reach foreign journalists and correspondents via Twitter.

“The Person of Saint John Paul II and Polish culture connected with Christianity make the life of the Church in Poland an interesting topic for foreign readers. The World Youth Days in Krakow also contributed to the increased interest,” Fr. Rytel-Andrianik points out.

The profile @ChurchInPoland publishes information on current events in the Church in Poland, ass well as the Bishops’ stances and comments on ecclesial and social affairs. The first entries on Twitter showed that there is much interest in the published content.
