The week began with the announcement of the second edition of the “Pole with heart” campaign, organized by the Catholic Youth Association. The campaign is taking place this weekend. The action consists in collection of food and SMS campaign for Poles from the East. The action is held under the auspices of Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, president of the Polish Episcopate. He said that thanks to this campaign, apart from material support, young people build relationships with our compatriots in the East.
On Saturday there was the 10th National Pilgrimage of Church Musicians to the Shrine of Jasna Góra under the motto “In the power of God’s Spirit”. The solemn Eucharist was presided by Bishop Piotr Greger, Chairman of the Subcommittee for Church Music. Fr. Nikodem Kilnar, the National Pastor of Church Musicians, said: “We come to Jasna Góra of Victory as a community of church musicians, who want to entrust to Our Lady our service to the Church”.
On Friday there was a press conference organized by the Polish Section of the Pontifical Association “Aid to the Church in Need” before the 11th Day of Solidarity with the Persecuted Church. We will celebrate this Day of Solidarity Sunday under the motto: “Unspoken suffering”. The main theme is the current situation of Christians in South Sudan. A special guest in Poland on this occasion is Bishop Stephen Majwok from the diocese of Malakal.

Martedì scorso ha avuto luogo la conferenza stampa sulla seconda edizione dell’azione dell’Associazione cattolica giovanile “Il Polacco con il cuore”, che si svolge questo fine settimana. L’azione sta nella raccolta di prodotti alimentari e quelli per la pulizia per i doposcuola polacchi e campagna SMS per i connazionali dall’Est. L’azione si svolge sotto l’alto patrocinio dell’arcivescovo Stanisław Gądecki, presidente dell’Episcopato, il quale ha affermato che grazie all’azione, oltre al supporto materiale, i giovani costruiscono relazioni con i nostri connazionali oltre il confine orientale.
Sotto “Nel potere dello Spirito di Dio” si è svolto sabato il decimo pellegrinaggio nazionale di musicisti ecclesiastici a Jasna Góra. La Santa Messa nel santuario di Jasna Góra è stata presieduta dal vescovo Piotr Greger, presidente della sottocommissione per la musica sacra della Conferenza episcopale polacca.
Venerdì ha avuto luogo una conferenza stampa organizzata dalla Sezione polacca dell’Aiuto alla Chiesa che soffre prima dell’11a Giornata di solidarietà con la Chiesa perseguitata, che celebreremo domani. Il tema principale della Giornata della solidarietà di quest’anno è l’attuale situazione dei cristiani nel Sud Sudan. Un ospite speciale in Polonia in questa occasione è il vescovo Stephen Nyodho Ador Majwok della diocesi di Malakal.
