"This is a unique event in the history of our band; we have been preparing for it for a long time," Lt. Col. Stanislaw Straczek, the head of the Nowy Sacz-based orchestra and its conductor, has told PAP.
The traditional Krakow bugle call will be played during the ceremony in which Mayor Jacek Majchrowski will hand over the keys to the city to Pope Francis.
"We will be performing directly before and after the event," said Straczek, adding that the repertoire will include religious songs "associated with the Holy Father."(PAP)
