On July 14th, 2023, the Press Office of the Polish Bishops’ Conference is opening the process of accreditation for the media coverage of the beatification of the Ulma Family, which will take place in Markowa on September 10th, 2023.
On September 10th 2023 at 10.00 a.m. the beatification ceremony of the Ulma Family will take place in Markowa, in the Archdiocese of Przemyśl. The Holy Mass with the rite of beatification will be presided over by Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints.
There will be a Press Centre and special places in the area of the celebration prepared for the media. In the Press Centre, there will be available to journalists the following: a reception, a press room with video and audio transmission of the celebration with translation into English and Italian, Internet access (wireless and LAN), press materials, snacks and drinks. Briefings related to the ceremony are also planned at the Press Centre.
Entry to the Press Centre will be on the basis of accreditations issued by the Press Office of the Polish Bishops’ Conference. The accreditation form can be downloaded here. Once completed and signed, it should be scanned and sent to: press_ulma@episkopat.pl. The form should be accompanied by a recent photo and a scan of a press card valid on the day of the beatification. Applications will be accepted up to August 21st this year. After this date, accreditation applications will not be accepted.
Accreditation may be applied for by active journalists and photojournalists from the press, radio, television and online services. The Accreditation Office reserves the right to verify cooperation with a given editorial office.
Accreditation does not entitle the holder to enter the altar area or the VIP area during the ceremony, but only to enter the Press Centre and move around special areas designated for journalists in zone 0.
Accreditation does not include accommodations and meals.
There will be no car access to the place of the celebrations. There will be a special car park for journalists from where they will be transported by bus to the Press Centre. Entry to the car park for journalists will be possible after obtaining a pass for a specific car. The indicated car details must be entered on the accreditation form.
Collection of the accreditation will be possible at one of the three locations indicated on the form.
Television coverage of the ceremony will be provided by Telewizja Polska (Polish Television – TVP), which can also make the transmission signal available to other television and radio stations. For this purpose, please contact the TVP Commercial Department directly.
