The Ulmas are an example for every family to live the Gospel day by day. They are also an example for every Christian to share love with every human being," said President of the Polish Bishops' Conference Archbishop Stanislaw Gądecki on the occasion of the upcoming beatification of the Ulma Family, which will take place in Markowa on September 10.
The President of the Polish Bishops' Conference acknowledged that "the beatification of the Ulma Family is a great joy for the Church in Poland." He recalled that following Pope Francis' decision, the beatification of Jozef and Wiktoria Ulma and their seven children, who were murdered on March 24, 1944, by the Germans for saving Jews, will take place on September 10, 2023, in Markowa, the site of their martyrdom.
"The Ulmas are an example for every family to live the Gospel day by day. They are also an example for every Christian to share love with every human being," the President of the Polish Bishops' Conference stressed.
