In the homily, Archbishop Józef Kupny, Deputy President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, referred to the ministry of the Secretary General, noting that today's word of God invites us to preach the Gospel. "By virtue of the sacrament of Holy Baptism, we are all obliged to do so” – he emphasized. "We are to do so with the power we receive in the daily Eucharist. It is the power of Christ” – he added.
Archbishop Kupny pointed out that "every Eucharist is an opportunity for us to use the power of Jesus Christ”. "The patron saint of today, St Gregory the Great, the Pope, was one who preached with power” – he acknowledged. "And let us, with the power we receive in this Eucharist, want to proclaim the Gospel of Christ” – he encouraged.
