Let this Lenten season be a time for our spiritual pilgrimage, through which we can draw closer to God, to ourselves and to one another – said the President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda SAC in his message for Lent 2025.

Archbishop Wojda stressed that Lent, which we begin on 5 March with Ash Wednesday, “is a time of special prayer, penance and preparation for the celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord”.
“On Ash Wednesday, therefore, we will begin, as it were, the time of our 40-day pilgrimage. In this Jubilee Year – as Pope Francis reminds us – it is important that we become not only pilgrims, but above all pilgrims of hope” – he noticed.
“Let this Lenten season be a time for our spiritual pilgrimage, through which we can draw closer to God, to ourselves and to one another” – Archbishop Wojda asked. “On this spiritual journey, let us take special care of the inner sanctuary of our hearts and remember those most in need, the rejected, the vulnerable, who are especially in need of our support – both spiritual and material” – said the President of the Polish Episcopate.
