On the first Friday of Lent, 7 March this year, the Church in Poland observed a Day of Prayer and Solidarity with Persons Harmed by Sexual Exploitation. The Stations of the Cross service was celebrated in the chapel of the Secretariat of the Polish Bishops' Conference, during which prayers were offered for the abused.

The service was presided over by Bishop Marek Marczak, Secretary General of the Polish Bishops' Conference. The reflections for this year's Stations of the Cross were prepared by Fr Mateusz Filipowski OCD, chaplain of the abused and responsible for prevention in the Warsaw Province of the Discalced Carmelites, on the basis of testimonies of abused persons.
