Spokesman of the Polish Bishops' Conference on the Jubilee of Catholic Influencers: Let us spread the message of Christian hope on the Internet

Let us take advantage of the opportunity to be where life is intensely lived today, namely on the Internet, and proclaim the message of Christian hope – encouraged Fr. Leszek Gęsiak SJ, spokesman for the Polish Bishops' Conference, on the occasion of the Jubilee of Digital Missionaries and Catholic Influencers, which will take place in Rome on 28-29 July this year.

The Jubilee of Digital Missionaries and Catholic Influencers will take place as part of the Holy Year 2025. "It is an opportunity to reflect on each of our presence in social media. We all use them, often without even thinking about whether our contribution to digital communication bears good or bad fruit," noted the spokesman of the Polish Bishops' Conference.

Fr. Gęsiak admitted in this context that social media – Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok and many others – are a contemporary platform for evangelisation. “Let us take advantage of this opportunity to be where intense life takes place today, namely, on the Internet, and proclaim the message of Christian hope,” he encouraged.
