"First and foremost, we would like to thank God for bringing us together," said Bishop Grzegorz Suchodolski, auxiliary bishop of Siedlce and chairman of the Council of the Polish Bishops’ Conference for Youth Ministry. He added that many people had worked to prepare the Jubilee of Youth, thanks to whom the event was able to take place. He also emphasised that over 20,000 young Poles had come to Rome.
Bishop Adam Bab, who is a member of the Council of the Polish Bishops’ Conference for Youth Ministry and a delegate of the Catholic Youth Association, expressed his gratitude on behalf of all the bishops, especially to the young people. "We would like to thank our young brothers and sisters from Poland for their determination, for their dream of going to the Jubilee of Youth in Rome, for achieving their goal and coming here to bear witness to their faith and hope," he said.
Bishop Artur Ważny, Bishop of Sosnowiec, thanked Pope Leo XIV for his message, especially for his words comparing the most beautiful desire of young people to "a stool that we can climb on and grow higher and higher."
"We would also like to thank all those who have taken on the pastoral mission, all priests and group leaders, for having the love to gather young people and simply be here with them," said Bishop Piotr Wawrzynek, auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Legnica, later in the recording. He also thanked all those who animated all the meetings during the Jubilee. "Thank you very much, don't stop," he encouraged.
Auxiliary Bishop of Kalisz Łukasz Buzun thanked the consecrated persons, especially the nuns involved in youth ministry, who came with their groups. He emphasised their joy, commitment and openness of heart, thanking them for everything they bring to the youth meetings.
"We are very grateful to the volunteers and scouts for their wonderful service and help, often invisible, often very difficult, but at the same time serving the whole community," said auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Warsaw-Praga Jacek Grzybowski. "We thank you very much for rising to the challenge and serving young people, priests and all those who came to Rome for the Jubilee," he added.
The bishops also thanked the National Office of World Youth Day, headed by its director, Fr Tomasz Koprianiuk, for, as Bishop Grzegorz Suchodolski said, ‘creating a beautiful piece of Polish land for us at Casa Polonia in Rome.’ ‘See you in two years in Seoul, Korea, for the next World Youth Day,’ he concluded.
The Jubilee of Youth took place from 28 July to 3 August 2025 in Rome. Over a million young people from around the world took part in the event, including around 20,000 Poles. The young people from Poland were accompanied by at least 24 bishops. These included: Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś (Łódź), Bishop Marek Solarczyk (Radom), Bishop Szymon Stułkowski (Płock), Bishop Grzegorz Suchodolski (Siedlce), Bishop Piotr Przyborek (Gdańsk), Bishop Adam Bab (Lublin), Bishop Adrian Put (Zielona Góra-Gorzów) and many others. In addition to the 22 registered bishops, Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz also came to Rome, as did Bishop Krzysztof Włodarczyk with a group of pilgrims from the Diocese of Bydgoszcz. Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, who is also from Poland, was also present.
During the Jubilee of Youth in Rome, on the initiative of the National Office of World Youth Day, a centre for Polish pilgrims was established, called Casa Polonia, which was located in the Salesian Institute on Via Tiburtina. From 29 July to 2 August, Holy Masses, catechesis, prayers, concerts and discussion meetings were held there.
