Bishop Sławomir Oder – Member of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints
On December 6 of this year, Pope Leo XIV appointed new members to the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. Among them is Bishop Sławomir Oder, the Bishop of Gliwice.

Within the Polish Bishops' Conference, Bishop Sławomir Oder is a member of the Permanent Council, the Legal Council, and the Economic Council.
From 1997 to 1999 he served as postulator in the beatification cause of Fr. Wincenty Frelichowski, and from 2005 to 2014 in the beatification and canonization cause of John Paul II. Since 2020 he has held the position of postulator for the beatification cause of the parents of St. John Paul II, Karol and Emilia Wojtyła.
