Bishop Krzysztof Zadarko has been appointed Bishop of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg

The Holy Father Leo XIV has appointed the current administrator of the Diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg, Bishop Krzysztof Zadarko, as the Bishop of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg. The Pope’s decision was announced on February 2nd, 2026, by the Apostolic Nunciature in Poland.

The newly appointed Bishop of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg, Bishop Krzysztof Zadarko, is 65 years old. He received episcopal ordination on April 25, 2009, in the cathedral in Koszalin. His episcopal motto is: “Amen, to the glory of God.”

Within the Polish Bishops’ Conference, he serves as Chairman of the Council for Migrants and Refugees and as the Conference’s Delegate for Immigration. He is also a member of the team working with the Delegate of the Polish Bishops’ Conference for the Pastoral Care of Polish Emigrants.
