The Secretary General of the Polish Bishops’ Conference met with representatives of the Subcommittee on Aid to the Church in Central and Eastern Europe of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

On Thursday, March 19 this year, the Secretary General of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Marek Marczak, met with Bishop Gerald L. Vincke, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Aid to the Church in Central and Eastern Europe of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Jennifer Healy, National Director of the Office of Aid to the Church in Central and Eastern Europe of the USCCB.

The meeting took place at the General Secretariat of the Polish Bishops’ Conference in Warsaw. The Secretary General was accompanied by Bishop Arkadiusz Trochanowski, Eparch of Olsztyn-Gdańsk, Fr. Leszek Gęsiak SJ, Spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, and Fr. Marcin Kokoszka, Bursar of the Polish Bishops’ Conference.

The meeting focused on the support provided by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to the Churches in Central and Eastern Europe, with particular emphasis on the situation related to the ongoing war in Ukraine. The participants also discussed issues of cooperation between the Polish Bishops’ Conference and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
