On Sunday, 7 September 2025, the canonisation of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati will take place in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. The Polish Bishops' Conference will be represented by Bishop Grzegorz Suchodolski, Bishop Piotr Kleszcz OFMConv, Bishop Tomasz Sztajerwald, and Bishop Zbigniew Wołkowicz.

Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who will soon be canonised, are considered special patrons of young people because of their lives and witness. Therefore, many young people, including young people from Poland, are travelling to Italy for the canonisation ceremonies.
A four-member delegation from the Polish Bishops' Conference will also take part in the canonisation celebrations. It will include the auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Siedlce and president of the Polish Bishops' Conference Council for Youth Ministry, Grzegorz Suchodolski; the auxiliary bishops of the Archdiocese of Łódź, Piotr Kleszcz OFMConv and Zbigniew Wołkowicz, and the auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Warsaw-Prague, Tomasz Sztajerwald.
The canonisation of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati will be the first canonisation during the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV.
