This is a day of special remembrance for those who have dedicated their lives to the exclusive service of God, said Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda SAC, President of the Polish Bishops' Conference, on the occasion of the World Day for Consecrated Life, which falls on 2 February. We celebrate the World Day for Consecrated Life on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, 2 February. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this celebration. "This is a day of special remembrance for those who gave their lives to the exclusive service of God," said Archbishop Wojda.
"Through their presence and witness of life, consecrated persons remind us that a disciple of Christ is always a missionary in all circumstances," emphasised the President of the Polish Bishops' Conference. He recalled that on 2 February, consecrated persons renew their vows. “And we, grateful for their service to God and people in various works of mercy, let us remember them in our prayers,” Archbishop Wojda encouraged.
