13 September, 10:00 a.m.: Episcopal ordination of Fr. Mariusz Dmyterko
On Saturday, 13 September 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in the cathedral parish of the Exaltation of the Venerable and Life-Giving Cross in Wrocław, the episcopal chirotonia (ordination) of Fr. Mariusz Dmyterko will take place, according to the Eparchy of Wrocław-Koszalin of the Greek Catholic Church in Poland.

On Friday evening, 12 September, at 5 p.m., on the eve of the episcopal ordination, the bishop nominee will be presented.
The Divine Liturgy with the rite of episcopal consecration will be presided over by Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

I encourage everyone to pray for and support our bishop nominee Mariusz Dmyterko and our entire diocese and metropolis in Poland," wrote Bishop Włodzimierz Juszczak, bishop of the Eparchy of Wrocław-Koszalin, in a statement on this occasion.
On 10 July 2025, it was announced in the Vatican that Pope Leo XIV, blessing the choice of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, appointed Fr. Mariusz Dmyterko as auxiliary bishop of the Eparchy of Wrocław-Koszalin in Poland.
