His Holiness
The Holy Father
Leo XIV
Beloved Holy Father,
A birthday is a time to give thanks for the gift of life. Today, during the Angelus prayer, Your Holiness thanked your parents for this gift. The Church community in Poland, all the faithful, consecrated persons, priests and bishops also give thanks for your life and vocation, dear Holy Father.
On your birthday, we wish you an abundance of God's blessings and the power of the Holy Spirit to lead the Church in a time marked by war and suffering. We are convinced that by working together as a community, under the leadership of the Successor of Peter, we can bring the message of peace to the whole world.
We wish Your Holiness strength and determination in proclaiming the truth of the Gospel.
On behalf of the Polish Bishops' Conference and the entire Church in Poland, I assure you of our constant prayers for Your Holiness, offered every day, especially in the spiritual capital of Poland – at Jasna Góra, at the Queen of Poland, Our Lady of Częstochowa.
On your 70th birthday, Holy Father, please accept our filial devotion and our promise of fidelity and cooperation with you in leading the Church community.
+ Tadeusz Wojda SAC
Archbishop of Gdańsk
President of the Polish Bishops' Conference
