Poland: Statement following acts of violence in front of churches
Following the ruling of October 22, in which the Constitutional Court declared that eugenic (selective) abortion is not compatible with the Polish Constitution, yesterday, Sunday, October 25, 2020,acts of violence took place in Poland in front of churches. The President of the Polish Episcopate expresses his concern.

The Presidium of the Bishop’s Conference has issued a statement on the ongoing debate on “The Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence,” better known as the Istanbul Convention, which was adopted on 11

Religion lessons at school, the response to the drama of the sexual abuse of minors by some clergy, the position on LGBT+, and the encouragement for believers to return to churches for Mass after the pandemic were the main issues raised at the 386th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, which was held at Jasna Góra from 27 to 29 August.
