Polish Bishops Ask Victims of Sexual Abuse for Forgiveness
“We ask God, the victims of abuse, their families and the Church community for forgiveness for all the harm done to children and young people and their relatives” – the Polish Bishops wrote in a statement published on November 19 by the Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference dedicated to sexual abuse of children and youth by some members of the clergy.

CCEE in Poland to speak about solidarity in Europe

The representatives of the Episcopates of Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the International Conference of the St. Cyril and Methodius, together with the CCEE Presidency, gathered in Bratislava on September 6 and 7, 2018. The participants in the meeting, in presence of the Apostolic Nuncio in Slovakia, celebrated the Holy Mass in the Cathedral of Saint Martin, presided by Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, President of the CCEE.
Polish Bishops: the need for service to marriage and the family as well as people in non-sacramental relationships
The Polish Bishops’ Conference on 379th Plenary Meeting, on June 8, adopted the „Pastoral Guidelines for the Exhortation Amoris Laetitia”. Bishops emphasize the need to serve the engaged, spouses and families as well as people living in irregular relationships according to the pastoral criteria proposed by Pope Francis: acceptance, accompaniment, discernment and integration. The document does not address the issue of holy communion for people living in non-sacramental relationships.
