Poland: 1,2 million people took part in The Marches of the Three Kings!
Under the motto "God is for everyone", on January 6, in over 660 cities and towns in Poland and abroad went the March of the Three Kings. This year it was accompanied by the fundraising "Kings for the East", the income from which will be delivered to cultural and educational institutions operating beyond the eastern border as well as in Poland for the benefit of the eastern citizens.
President of the Polish Episcopate: It was a good year
The first National Day of Reading the Holy Scriptures, the first document of the Episcopate devoted entirely to patriotism, the first Day of the Poor - listed the President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Archbishop Stanislaw Gadecki, speaking about new initiatives that appeared in the Church in 2017.
Presidency of the Polish Bishops’ Conference: There can be no place for killing disabled and sick children!
“Both believers and non-believers are called to protect life from its conception to natural death. There can be no place for killing other people, especially disabled and sick children! This is not only a matter of worldview or religion but above all of science which unambiguously shows that human life begins at the moment of conception.” We read this in the Message of the Presidency of the Polish Bishops’ Conference—entitled “Love; Do Not Kill!”—for this year’s Feast of the Holy Family, on Sunday, December 31st.
Polish Bishops’ Conference Presidium: Instead of Abortion – Adoption of Children; Everyone has the right to life.
“If parents decide not to bring up a child, they can always pass the child up for adoption, especially when so many families are ready to care for them. Killing children should never take place. Instead of Abortion – Adoption!” writes the Presidium of the Polish Bishops’ Conference in an appeal concerning the protection of the right to life from the moment of conception till natural death.
50,000 Polish Farmers Gave Thanks for the Harvest at Jasna Góra
“The concerns and challenges of the agricultural world today call us to consider with great esteem the farmer’s work, which—due to its dependency on nature—is exposed to greater risks than other branches of the economy,” noted the President of the Polish Bishops' Conference and Metropolitan Archbishop of Poznan Stanisław Gądecki.
