The Permanent Council of the Polish Bishops’ Conference is composed of: President, Vice President, Primate of Poland, cardinals heading dioceses, Secretary General and six diocesan bishops and two auxiliary bishops elected by the Plenary Assembly. The Permanent Council prepares Plenary Assemblies and Councils of Diocesan Bishops, monitors decision implementation, coordinates the work of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, and may adopt a position on public matters when this is warranted by the good of the Church, in line with the opinion, at least assumed, of members of the Polish Bishops’ Conference.
