All dioceses in Poland celebrated the 104th World Day of Migrants and Refugees
The Church in Poland has actively participated in celebration of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees on Sunday, January 14. In many churches throughout the country there were masses celebrated according form “For Refugees and Exiles”. The Polish Bishops’ Conference appealed to the faithful to engage in specific assistance to migrants from the Middle East and Ukraine. There are 1.5 Million Ukrainian refugees living in Poland.
Poland: 1,2 million people took part in The Marches of the Three Kings!
Under the motto "God is for everyone", on January 6, in over 660 cities and towns in Poland and abroad went the March of the Three Kings. This year it was accompanied by the fundraising "Kings for the East", the income from which will be delivered to cultural and educational institutions operating beyond the eastern border as well as in Poland for the benefit of the eastern citizens.

Anniversaries of the apparitions in Fatima and Gietrzwald, preparations for the synod of bishops about youth, celebrations of the 600th anniversary of the primacy in Poland, “Rosary to the Borders”, assistance to the victims of storms and war in the Middle East and announcement of the decree recognising the heroic virtues of Primate Stefan Wyszynski are the most important events of 2017, emphasized the spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Fr. Pawel Rytel-Andrianik.
Presidency of the Polish Bishops’ Conference: There can be no place for killing disabled and sick children!
“Both believers and non-believers are called to protect life from its conception to natural death. There can be no place for killing other people, especially disabled and sick children! This is not only a matter of worldview or religion but above all of science which unambiguously shows that human life begins at the moment of conception.” We read this in the Message of the Presidency of the Polish Bishops’ Conference—entitled “Love; Do Not Kill!”—for this year’s Feast of the Holy Family, on Sunday, December 31st.
