380th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference in Plock
Youth ministry, pastoral care of families and prevention of abuse of minors are the main topics of the 380th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference that is taking place on 25 and 26 September in Plock, in connection with the jubilee of the 450th anniversary of the death of St. Stanislaus Kostka, who was born in Rostkowo, in the diocese of Plock.

The 386th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Episcopate at Jasna Góra
The 30th anniversary of catechesis at school, pastoral challenges of the Church in Poland and protection of children and youth against sexual abuse in the Church will be the main topics of the 386th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference - announced the Secretary General of the Polish Bishops’ Conference Bishop Artur G. Miziński. The meeting will be held from 27 to 29 August at Jasna Góra. On the eve of the meeting, the bishops will take part in the celebration of the Solemnity of Our Lady of Częstochowa.
The President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference met with the President of the German Bishops’ Conference
Unrest on the Polish-Belarusian border, challenges facing the Church in Poland and Germany, and the Synod of Bishops on synodality were the main topics of the meeting between the President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference Archbishop Stanislaw Gądecki and the President of the German Bishops’ Conference Bishop Georg Bätzing, on 30 November in Poznan.

The Eucharist on the occasion of the Solemnity of Our Lady of Czestochowa was presided in the Sanctuary of Jasna Gora by Archbishop Wojciech Polak, Primate of Poland, and concelebrated by many bishops and international guests i.a. Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. In the Holy Mass participated tens of thousands of pilgrims.

The 100th anniversary of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, the 100th anniversary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Poland, the protection of minors in the Church and youth ministry - these are the main themes of the 382nd Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, which will take place from 12 to 14 March in Warsaw with guests from abroad. The papal legate for the jubilee celebrations will be Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See.
Conference on the Protection of Minors in the Churches of Central and Eastern Europe – Day 1 (19.09.2021)
In his video message, Pope Francis encouraged the participants of the conference on the protection of minors in the Church of Central and Eastern Europe, which began on Sunday, September 19 in Warsaw,to listen to the cries of persons who experiencedsexual abuse. The Holy Father urged that “the good of the victims not be relegated to the background out of an ill-conceived concern for the image of the Church as an institution”.
