Poland: 32.000 consecrated people serve God and neighbor
“Consecrated persons in today’s world are promoters of love” – said bishop Jacek Kiciński,CMF, on January 31, during the press conference at the seat of the Polish Bishops’ Conference before the XXII World Day of Consecrated Life, celebrated on February 2. In Poland there are 18,000 nuns, almost 12,000 monks, 1281 contemplative nuns and over 1000 consecrated virgins, widows and widowers.
Letter of Fraternal Concern from the Episcopate’s President regarding the German “Synodal Path”

Appeal of the Presidium of the Polish Bishops’ Conference on stopping eugenic abortion
There will soon be proceeded the civic legislative initiative “Halt Abortion”, which presupposes the removal of the possibility of killing a child due to the suspicion of disability or illness (eugenic abortion). The Polish Bishops’ Conference from the beginning supports this initiative as an important step to full protection of life and thanks some 830,000 Polish citizens who have signed the draft law.
