The 386th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Episcopate at Jasna Góra
The 30th anniversary of catechesis at school, pastoral challenges of the Church in Poland and protection of children and youth against sexual abuse in the Church will be the main topics of the 386th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference - announced the Secretary General of the Polish Bishops’ Conference Bishop Artur G. Miziński. The meeting will be held from 27 to 29 August at Jasna Góra. On the eve of the meeting, the bishops will take part in the celebration of the Solemnity of Our Lady of Częstochowa.

Plenary meeting of the Polish Bishops’ Conference
Protection of children and young people as well as the pastoral agenda for the years 2019/2020 were the principal topics of the plenary meeting of the Polish Bishops’ Conference. Institute for Catholic Church Statistics: More people at Sunday Masses and receiving Holy Communion
In 2017, the rate of Catholics participating in Sunday Eucharist increased by 1.6% in comparison to 2016. The rate of Catholics receiving Holy Communion increased by 1%. This means that approximately half a million more Catholics regularly participated in Holy Masses and around 300,000 more people received Holy Communion - according to the latest research of the Institute for Catholic Church Statistics presented on January 8.
