Caritas Polska Turns 30 – It Started with Three People
Caritas Polska is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Caritas began with three people working on the top floor of the seat of the Polish Bishops’ Conference. Today, it is the largest charity organization in Poland and its aid programs for approx. 3 million people are run by over 100,000 volunteers.
Poland: the 2nd Sunday of Lent, called "Ad Gentes", is dedicated to the mission
Since 2005, the second Sunday of Lent has been dedicated to the concrete support of the missions, both through prayer and fasting, and through fundraising in the parishes. Last year, over 1.4 million PLN were raised, with which the missionaries carried out 99 evangelization, educational, medical and charity projects.

During the Eucharist celebrated on 13 March 2023 with the participation of the Polish Bishops' Conference at the Divine Providence Church in Warsaw, thanks were also given for 10 years of the pontificate of Pope Francis.
