The Week in Summary (November 3-9)
The week began with the announcement of the second edition of the “Pole with heart” campaign, organized by the Catholic Youth Association. The campaign is taking place this weekend. The action consists in collection of food and SMS campaign for Poles from the East. The action is held under the auspices of Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, president of the Polish Episcopate. He said that thanks to this campaign, apart from material support, young people build relationships with our compatriots in the East.
The spokesman of the Polish Episcopate in Rome asks for prayer that St. John Paul II be declared Doctor of the Church and co-patron of Europe
Spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, Fr. Paweł Rytel-Andrianik, asked the participants of the conference “30 years without the Wall”, organized in Rome by the Italian Catholic association Alleanza Cattolica, for prayer and actions so that St. John Paul II could be declared Doctor of the Church and co-patron of Europe.

The informal patron of the dialogue with Judaism is St. Pope John Paul II. Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki is the second person in Poland who has great merits for continuing and developing this dialogue. He is the father of the Day of Judaism in Poland – said Archbishop Henryk Muszyński, Primate of Poland 2009-2010, receiving the “Menorah of Dialogue” award on January 15 in Poznań for bringing people, cultures, religions and nations closer to one another.
