Secretary General of the Polish Episcopate: Today too ourbrothers and sisters are persecuted for their faith
These days of solidarity also aim to - in addition to the help provided to specific Churches - bring us closer to the truth about the Church of Jesus Christ and our faithful brothers and sisters who today experience persecution, suffering or marginalization in their lives for being Christ’s disciples - said bishop Artur G. Miziński, secretary general of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, during a press conference before the 11th Day of Solidarity with the Persecuted Church, organized by the Polish section of the Aid to the Church in Need and with the support of the Polish Episcopate. This year’s Day of Solidarity will take place on November 10.
Synodal National Synthesis: the Synod indicates the need to learn to walk hand in hand to build the community of the Church
The synodal consultations indicated a desire to improve the way the Church functions and not to change doctrine or structure. The need for change concerns not only the institution of the Church. Central to this process is the personal conversion of both laity and clergy, according to the National Synthesis of the Synod on Synodality, presented at a press conference in Jasna Góra on 25 August 2022.
Ecumenical prayer for Christian Unity in Semarang diocese
In the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, the Archdiocese of Semarang (Central Java) invited the Pastors of different Protestant churches to an ecumenical celebration that brought together Catholics and Protestants. "At first, it was not easy to bring together Protestant pastors" refers to Fides Father Aloys Budi Purnomo, head of the Commission for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs in the Archdiocese of Semarang. "In the Church of Christ the King in Ungaran, Semarang, the Pastors of various Christian denominations accepted our effort to work for peaceful harmony among Christians of various denominations", said the priest. More than 50 Pastors of 20 denominations, from various cities in Java and other islands, attended the vigil for the opening of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

The Permanent Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) started its proceedings in Wrocław on May 23, 2023. The session will include meetings focused on Poland's efforts to assist refugees and the experience of the Przemyśl-Warsaw Metropolis of the Greek Catholic Church in Poland in this regard.
