Warsaw: Meeting of the Byelorussian Bishops with Benefactors of the Church
The Catholic bishops of Belarus have come to Warsaw for a short visit. On January 24th and 25th, they met with representatives of the German aid association Renovabis, the Pontifical Association of Aid to the Church in Need, the USCCB Subcommittee on the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, and the organization Porticus. These are the largest institutions that have been helping the Church in Belarus for a long time.

Furthermore, the Bishops urge all parties involved in political and social life to show mutual respect and to work toward reconciliation, unity, and peace. They ask all the Poles to pray for their homeland.

“If parents decide not to bring up a child, they can always pass the child up for adoption, especially when so many families are ready to care for them. Killing children should never take place. “Both believers and non-believers are called to protect life from its conception to natural death. There can be no place for killing other people, especially disabled and sick children!
