The 22nd Day of Prayer and Material Assistance to the Church in the East, to be held on 5th December.
On the 2nd Sunday of Advent, the Day of prayer and material help for the Church in the East, is celebrated in the Church in Poland. The aim of this day is the spiritual and material support of the Catholic Church in the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, i.e. in Armenia Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia and Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

Christmas wishes addressed by Bishop Wiesław Lechowicz to the Polish community abroad
Let no worries obscure the main one, so that we may always be on the way to Jesus! Become God's children, that is, people who unconditionally trust God! Celebrating Christmas means welcoming the Baby Jesus with your heart and trusting him completely. I wish you such celebration, and I pray for it! - wrote Bishop Wiesław Lechowicz, Delegate of the Polish Bishops' Conference for the Polish Emigration, in his Christmas greeting to the Polish Community abroad. The Bishop also asked for prayers for the Homeland and the Church in Poland.
President of the Polish Episcopate: Safeguarding children and helping the victims should be a priority for each of us
“We meet today in order to share our experiences and also to support the protection of children and initiate necessary cooperation,” said Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, the President of the Polish Bishops Conference, at the opening of the international conference of the Churches of Central and Eastern Europe on the protection of minors, which is being held in Warsaw on 19-22 September this year.
