150 provincial and general superiors representing active female religious institutes met in Warsaw at the 140th Plenary Assembly of the Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious in Poland. This year’s assembly focused on the matters concerning formation. There are 17,553 Polish active nuns who serve in such areas of ecclesiastical and social life in Poland and abroad as educational work, various forms of youth assistance, catechization and other forms of evangelization, as well as spiritual and material help.

On Saturday, May 28, at 7 p.m. a Mass will be celebrated at the Warsaw Archcathedral under the Cardinal’s presidency. “We will pray for the canonization of Primate Wyszynski”, says Cardinal Nycz. On the same day in the morning, thirteen deacons of the Warsaw Archdiocese will be ordained to the priesthood in the Shrine of the Divine Providence.
