All dioceses in Poland celebrated the 104th World Day of Migrants and Refugees
The Church in Poland has actively participated in celebration of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees on Sunday, January 14. In many churches throughout the country there were masses celebrated according form “For Refugees and Exiles”. The Polish Bishops’ Conference appealed to the faithful to engage in specific assistance to migrants from the Middle East and Ukraine. There are 1.5 Million Ukrainian refugees living in Poland.
President of the Polish Episcopate: Safeguarding children and helping the victims should be a priority for each of us
“We meet today in order to share our experiences and also to support the protection of children and initiate necessary cooperation,” said Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, the President of the Polish Bishops Conference, at the opening of the international conference of the Churches of Central and Eastern Europe on the protection of minors, which is being held in Warsaw on 19-22 September this year.
