Melchicki patriarcha Antiochii i Całego Wschodu, Aleksandrii i Jerozolimy, a zarazem przewodniczący Zgromadzenia Hierarchów Katolickich w Syrii Grzegorz III Laham wystosował „apel o modlitwę w intencji uproszenia miłosierdzia Bożego dla narodu syryjskiego, który idzie drogą krzyżową”. Modlitwa ta towarzyszy „międzynarodowym wysiłkom na rzecz pokoju w Syrii, Iraku i Palestynie”.
All dioceses in Poland celebrated the 104th World Day of Migrants and Refugees
The Church in Poland has actively participated in celebration of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees on Sunday, January 14. In many churches throughout the country there were masses celebrated according form “For Refugees and Exiles”. The Polish Bishops’ Conference appealed to the faithful to engage in specific assistance to migrants from the Middle East and Ukraine. There are 1.5 Million Ukrainian refugees living in Poland.
Pope awaited in Brzegi
On Saturday (July 30), Pope Francis will meet with pilgrims in Brzegi to keep vigil and pray together. The Holy Father will not only deliver a speech to the young, but he will hear their testimonies as well. The first event to take place at the Misericordiae Campus in Brzegi is the Vigil of the young with Francis. Then, on Sunday (July 31), the pope will celebrate the Final Mass concluding the World Youth Day.

Przewodniczący Konferencji Episkopatu Polski abp Stanisław Gądecki oraz Dyrektor Papieskiego Stowarzyszenia Pomoc Kościołowi w Potrzebie ks. Waldemar Cisło przebywają na terenie Syrii i Libanu w dn. 17-22 lutego br.
33 Refugees Drown While Germany's Asylum Seekers Face Attacks
(Vatican Radio) Turkey's state-run media say at least 33 people, including five children, have drowned in the Aegean Sea after their Greece-bound boat capsized off the Turkish coast, while far away in Germany refugees struggled in the aftermath of far-right attacks against them. Coast guards reportedly rescued 75 others from the sea Saturday near the resort of Ayvacik en route to the Greek island of Lesbos.
