Pope Francis in Ciudad Juarez within earshot of El Paso
(Vatican Radio) On Wednesday 17th of Feburay Pope Francis is going to celebrate Holy Mass in Ciudad Juarez on the border between Mexico and the United States right across from El Paso where Monsignor Arturo Bañuelas serves as parish priest at St Marks'. And where like many others on the Texan border he's involved in pastoral ministry to migrants. Veronica Scarisbrick asks him how he views this highly symbolic celebration in a place which has seen so much death and destruction.
Pope Francis makes surprise visit to 3 Roman Curia offices
(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis on Thursday paid a surprise visit to the offices of three dicasteries of the Roman Curia: the Congregation for Oriental Churches and the Pontifical Councils: Cor Unam and for the New Evangelisation. During his visit, the Pope agreed to answer a number of questions put to him by the staff of the three organisations.
Pope Francis arrives in Mexico to a 'fiesta' atmosphere
(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis arrived in Mexico Friday evening after an historic meeting with Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill in Cuba. This is his 12th Apostolic Journey and is the third Pope to visit the country. Vatican Radio’s Veronica Scarisbrick is with the Pope in Mexico. She sends us this report on his arrival Friday evening.
