Bishop Miziński: The Church invites wounded people to her community, offering them the gift of prayer and penance
The Church, as a community of believers, wishes to offer the wounded the gift of her prayer and penance. She wants to spiritually embrace those who suffer the wrongs inflicted on them. She wants to be a benevolent environment for them where they can get the support they need so much on the long and difficult path of recovery. We all need community with the wounded as a space of spiritual unity, as experience of exchanging gifts that we can offer each other – said the General Secretary of the Polish Bishops' Conference, Bishop Artur G. Miziński, at the beginning of the Mass celebrated in the chapel of the Secretariat of the Polish Bishops' Conference for the intention of sexually abused minors.

I encourage all the faithful to participate in this event and to pray constantly for our brothers and sisters who live east of the Polish border - said Bishop Artur G. Miziński, Secretary General of the Polish Bishops' Conference, during a press conference ahead of the Day of Prayer and Material Help to the Church in the East, celebrated on the Second Sunday of Advent. This year, the Day falls on December 10.
