It was Mary herself who wanted to be called the “Queen of Poland” - said Fr. Paweł Rytel-Andrianik, spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, referring to the Marian apparitions from 1608 and the Feast of Our Lady Queen of Poland that falls on May 3. Dziesięć lat temu, 6 czerwca 2010 roku wysłannik papieża Benedykta XVI arcybiskup Angelo Amato na Placu Piłsudskiego w Warszawie odczytał uroczystą formułę beatyfikacyjną wynosząc męczennika komunizmu, księdza Jerzego Popiełuszkę do grona błogosławionych. Aktowi temu towarzyszyło ponad 250 tys. wiernych, w tym matka księdza Jerzego Marianna, jego przyjaciele oraz liczni przedstawiciele polskiego świata pracy. Fakt ten rozpoczął oficjalny kult kapelana Solidarności.
17 January: The 26th Day of Judaism in the Catholic Church in Poland
The 26th Day of Judaism in the Catholic Church in Poland will be held on January 17, 2023 under the motto: “The coming of the Lord: you are leaving today” (Ex 13:4). The central celebrations take place in the city of Siedlce. The guest of honour of the cultural and religious celebrations will be the Israeli Rabbi Boaz Pash.
