Bishop Florczyk: From the language of sociology to the language of the Church
In the discussion about youth in the Church, we must pass from the language of sociology, which uses the term “group,” to the language of the Church, where we talk about community. This is a fundamental difference, said the Synod Father, Bishop Marian Florczyk. In this way, he alluded to the words used during the synod by Pope Francis to underscore that faith is not a sociological fact, but a relationship with Jesus.

On Thursday, September 20, the representatives of the National Police Headquarters and the Church in Poland met in the Secretariat of the Polish Bishops’ Conference in Warsaw to promote together road safety and encourage pedestrians to join the “Pass it on” campaign. As the organizers explain, the point is to give each other reflectors with dedication, so that they remind us of the need for safety. “Give your family and friends a reflector as a gift. Reflectors mean simply life”, said Fr. Paweł Rytel-Andrianik, spokesman of the Episcopate.

Dzień Modlitw za Więźniów ustanowili polscy biskupi podczas 347. zebrania plenarnego Episkopatu w marcu 2009 r. na wniosek „Bractwa Więziennego”.
Presentation of the first volume of Karol Wojtyła’s literary and theatrical works
During the 25th Catholic Publishers Fair, the first volume of Karol Wojtyła’s “Literary and Theatrical Works” entitled “Juvenilia” (1938-1946) was presented at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. This is the first critical, scientific elaboration of Karol Wojtyła’s texts, containing texts that were previously unknown, including the love poem of the future Pope.

Miziński, secretary general of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, during a press conference before the 11th Day of Solidarity with the Persecuted Church, organized by the Polish section of the Aid to the Church in Need and with the support of the Polish Episcopate. This year’s Day of Solidarity will take place on November 10.
