Cardinal Nycz at the Feast of Thanksgiving: As Christians, we should be able to forgive
The main intention of the Feast of Thanksgiving this year is to pray for a just peace in Ukraine, as well as among us, in our homeland, and in our hearts. Mutual forgiveness is necessary. As Christians we should be able to forgive – said Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, Metropolitan of Warsaw, at the beginning of the Holy Mass in the Shrine of Divine Providence during the 15th Feast of Thanksgiving.

Poland: President Meets with Church Leaders and Minority Groups
Our task was, is and will be the search for truth, harmony and unity in the international space, in the life of our Homeland and in the smallest communities, that is our families and local communities. About 500 million PLN was donated by the Polish Church to refugees from Ukraine
Catholic and Greek Catholic parishes in Poland collected and provided Ukrainian refugees staying in Poland with financial and material aid worth at least 209 million PLN, monks and friars donated - 29 million PLN, and nuns donated- 4.3 million PLN. The value of the support provided through Caritas Polska and diocesan Caritas is 241.3 million PLN - according to data presented on Wednesday by the Institute of Statistics of the Catholic Church and Caritas Polska.

150 provincial and general superiors representing active female religious institutes met in Warsaw at the 140th Plenary Assembly of the Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious in Poland. This year’s assembly focused on the matters concerning formation. There are 17,553 Polish active nuns who serve in such areas of ecclesiastical and social life in Poland and abroad as educational work, various forms of youth assistance, catechization and other forms of evangelization, as well as spiritual and material help.
