Welcome to the new episode of the life of the Catholic Church in Poland. Here are the most important things. The ending week was lived in the Church in Poland as the 9th Week of Education under the motto: “Teacher, where are you staying?”. It was marked by many educational and social events and conferences. The bishops issued a pastoral letter on this occasion where they wrote that the place of shaping bond is in the family.

17th of September we commemorated the anniversary of the Soviet aggression on Poland during World War II. The special Mass for the victims was celebrated by the Military Bishop Józef Guzdek in the Field Cathedral in Warsaw.

The President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki met with journalists from 11 European countries. They spoke about the protection of unborn children, protection of minors, migrants and sexual minorities.

The current week closes with the Pilgrimage of Marriages and Families to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Jasna Góra. This pilgrimage is under the motto: “Family as the Sanctuary of Life”. “Life is not a burden, but life, a new life, is a chance for happiness” – said Bishop Wiesław Śmigiel, chairman of Family Council of the Polish Bishops’ Conference.

Tomorrow, the Letter of the Bishops for the Extraordinary Missionary Month will be read in Polish churches. The Bishops invite the faithful to involve in the missionary activities in order to deepen one’s faith.

These are the most important things in the Church in Poland. I wish you a blessed Sunday. See you soon. God bless.
