Celebrations in Poznan of the 1050th anniversary of the first bishopric in Poland
The jubilee celebrations were held on 22-24 June under the motto “Poznan. Christ and us”. They were presided over by the papal legate Cardinal Dominik Duka, Archbishop of Prague and Primate of the Czech Republic. The culminating moment of the three-day celebrations was the Eucharist, on June 23, on the square in front of the Poznan Cathedral, during which the message of Pope Francis was read. Several dozen bishops participated in it, including Apostolic Nuncio to Poland Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, Archbishop Stanislaw Gadecki, Archbishop Marek Jedraszewski and Archbishop Wojciech Polak.

Respect for specified individuals cannot, however, lead to the acceptance of an ideology that aims to revolutionize social customs and interpersonal relationships. “This revolution of customs and morals - emphasizes Pope Francis - has often waved «the flag of freedom», but it has, in reality, brought spiritual and material devastation to countless human beings, especially the poorest and most vulnerable” (Vatican, 17.11.2014) – writes Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, President of the Polish Bishops’ Conference in a statement on LGBT+.
26800 dzieci wyjedzie na wakacje w ramach "Wakacyjnej Akcji Caritas"
W tym roku na letni wypoczynek z największą organizacją charytatywną wyjedzie około 25 000 dzieci polskich i ponad 1800 dzieci polonijnych, pochodzących z terenów Białorusi, Ukrainy, Litwy i Gruzji. „Wakacyjna Akcja Caritas” organizowana jest od ponad 20 lat Caritas. Umożliwia tysiącom dzieci spędzenie letnich miesięcy poza domem – w górach, na Mazurach lub nad morzem. Akcja trwa do 31 sierpnia.
