“The 392nd Plenary Meeting of the Polish Bishops' Conference focused on three themes: catechesis, the synod on synodality and the 25th anniversary of the visit of the Holy Father John Paul II in Zakopane,” said the President of the Polish Bishops' Conference Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, summarizing the bishops' meeting, which took place on 6 and 7 June in the center "Księżówka" in Zakopane.

The 396th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops' Conference began with the Daytime Prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours. The event is scheduled for the 20th and 21st of November at Jasna Góra. During the first day of the Assembly, the bishops will discuss a document entitled "Synodal Church in Mission" which summarizes the first Roman session of the Synod on synodality.

Today I was deeply moved and saddened when watching Mr. Sekielski's film, and I would like to thank him for this film. For the most part, the message of the film corresponds to my experience gained during the many conversations I have held with the victims. I am convinced that this film, too, will result in an even more stringent compliance with the guidelines for the protection of children and young people in the Church, in the implementation by all bishops of prevention principles in each diocese, and in the compliance with the Motu proprio that Pope Francis promulgated the day before yesterday.

On Saturday, 10 June, the main thanksgiving celebrations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the priesthood of Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, Metropolitan of Poznań and President of the Polish Bishops' Conference, will be held in Poznań. He was ordained a priest on 9 June 1973 by Blessed Stefan Wyszyński in the Primate's Basilica in Gniezno.
