A Christian is a homo viator, one who is always on the way. Our whole life is a great pilgrimage, we are on our way to the Father’s house. As the Church, we are the pilgrim people - said Bishop Artur G. Miziński, Secretary General of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, during a press conference on the pilgrimages #PolskaPielgrzymuje (Poland on Pilgrimage), which took place on July 11 at the Secretariat of the Polish Bishops’ Conference.

The Church, as a community of believers, wishes to offer the wounded the gift of her prayer and penance. She wants to spiritually embrace those who suffer the wrongs inflicted on them. She wants to be a benevolent environment for them where they can get the support they need so much on the long and difficult path of recovery. We all need community with the wounded as a space of spiritual unity, as experience of exchanging gifts that we can offer each other – said the General Secretary of the Polish Bishops' Conference, Bishop Artur G. Miziński. The meeting will be held from 27 to 29 August at Jasna Góra. On the eve of the meeting, the bishops will take part in the celebration of the Solemnity of Our Lady of Częstochowa.
