Vatican official visits Al-Azhar University in Cairo
(Vatican Radio) The Secretary for the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID), Bishop Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, on Tuesday made a visit to the Al-Azhar University in Cairo, considered Sunni Islam’s most prestigious institution of learning. He was accompanied by the Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt, Archbishop Bruno Musarò.

A postal stamp commemorating the centennial anniversary of the restoration of the diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Poland was issued jointly by the Polish Post and the Vatican Postal Service. It was presented on March 29 at the Apostolic Nunciature in Warsaw. The ceremony was attended by, among others, Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz and Bishop Michał Janocha, representatives of the diplomatic corps.
Pope’s Day: Several thousand young people granted with scholarships
On the 102nd anniversary of the last Fatima apparition, the 19th Pope’s Day was celebrated in Poland under the motto “Rise! Let Us Be On Our Way”, organized by the “Work of the New Millennium” Foundation, which collects funds for scholarships for talented and unprivileged youth from small towns. During the nineteen years of its activity, the Foundation has taken care of several thousand young people from all over Poland in accordance with Pope Wojtyła’s call to “a new imagination of mercy”.
The 396th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops' Conference began
The 396th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops' Conference began with the Daytime Prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours. The event is scheduled for the 20th and 21st of November at Jasna Góra. During the first day of the Assembly, the bishops will discuss a document entitled "Synodal Church in Mission" which summarizes the first Roman session of the Synod on synodality.

Today, the morning session was devoted to working in groups on the adoption of the relation regarding Part 3 of the Instrumentum Laboris. The discussion focused on the meaning of the message of faith and how the action of God is expressed. The topic of the difficulties that young people meet with on their path was also addressed.
