Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki's visit to Damascus coincided with the impending terrorist attack that took the lives of more than 80 individuals. Even though the Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki flew out of Syria before the attack took place it was neverthelss the most dangerous, yet at the same time, the most important visit by the President of the Polish Bishops' Conference.

Dies war einer der gefährlichsten und gleichzeitig auch wichtigsten Besuche des Vorsitzenden des Polnischen Episkopats.

In contemporanea con i preparativi all'attentato terrorista a Damasco, con una visita nella città è stato monsignor Stanisław Gądecki. Il Presidente della Conferenza episcopale polacca ha fatto in tempo a lasciare la capitale siriana prima dell'attentato nel quale hanno perso la vita 80 persone e numerose altre hanno riportato delle ferite. Questo è stato uno dei più pericolosi ma anche i più importanti viaggi del Presidente dei vescovi polacchi.

W 38 krajach świata systematycznie prowadzi się krwawe prześladowania chrześcijan, którzy nadal najbardziej cierpią z rąk islamskich ekstremistów. Mówiono o tym w Rzymie na prezentacji dorocznego raportu o sytuacji wyznawców Chrystusa w 196 krajach. Został on opracowany przez Papieskie Stowarzyszenie Pomoc Kościołowi w Potrzebie. „Raport ten to nie powieść, ale jasny dowód ceny, jaką płacą dziś ludzie za wyznawanie swej wiary” – podkreślono na prezentacji. Przypomniano zarazem, że „nie można pomóc prześladowanym braciom, jeśli nie zna się prawdziwych realiów ich życia”.

Raport obejmuje wydarzenia od jesieni 2012 r. do lata 2014 r. Analizując wszystkie grupy religijne stwierdza, że tam, gdzie sytuacja w zakresie wolności religijnej uległa zmianie, prawie zawsze była to zmiana na gorsze. Pogarszające się warunki wolnego wyznawania wiary są odnotowane w 55 ze 196 analizowanych krajów (28 %). Tylko 6 z omawianych krajów - Iran, Zjednoczone Emiraty Arabskie, Kuba, Katar, Zimbabwe i Tajwan - zostały uznane za kraje, gdzie sytuacja nieco się poprawiła, ale i wśród nich 4 kraje pozostają sklasyfikowane, jako miejsca o „wysokim” lub „średnim” poziomie prześladowań.
