On the first day of the 396th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, the new Apostolic Nuncio to Poland, Archbishop Antonio Guido Filipazzi, handed his credentials to the President of the Polish Bishops Conference, Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki.

Archbishop Filipazzi handed over credentials to the President of the Polish Episcopate at the beginning of the morning session of the 396th Plenary Assembly of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, which is taking place on 20-21 November this year at Jasna Góra. Then, he gave a message to the bishops.

Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Filipazzi apostolic nuncio in Poland on 8 August. He is 60 years old and comes from the Archdiocese of Milan. He has served as Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria for the past six years.
