“May the Holy Spirit, who accompanies you in prayer, open your hearts to listen, inflame your love for Christ, and strengthen your fidelity to His Word!” said Pope Francis in his greeting to the Poles at Wednesday’s General Audience.

We are publishing the full text of the greeting:

My cordial greetings go to the Polish people. Today, in a special way, I am spiritually united with the young people who, for twenty-five years now, have gathered in Lednica, at the baptismal source of Poland, to renew their belonging to Christ. Dear young people, this year the keyword of your meeting is “Listen!” In the Bible, this word introduces the Decalogue, alerts consciences, and calls us to listen to the Lord and to love Him with all our heart, all our soul and all our strength (cf. Deut 6:4–5). May the Holy Spirit, who accompanies you in prayer, open your hearts to listen, inflame your love for Christ, and strengthen your fidelity to His Word! I bless you wholeheartedly!
